I'm a terrible blogger...

Well, as you can see my last posting was ... oh... a year ago! Oops. So to fill you in on what has happened in the last year... we got a dog, Sydney. She's a yellow lab and has the energy of 4 dogs! We put up a fence so that she could stay outside while we are at work and try to work off some of that energy. It worked, for about a month...now she's stopped using as much energy to grow and has more to save for us! She's a total mess, but we love her to death. Here is a picture of her the first night we got her. She's gained about 45lbs since this picture!!

We had our first wedding anniversary! Yay! We went to New York City for 5 days and 4 nights and I'll post pictures of that soon. We stayed at the Mansfield Hotel right in midtown - we could walk to Saks Fifth Ave :), Times Square, Macys, Madison Square Garden (where we saw a Knicks game), and many many more places. We went and saw a Knicks game and dad worked some magic and was able to contact someone who got us passes to meet the team. Well, the Knicks lost and pouted so we didn't meet any of them, but I did get my picture taken with Mike Bibby of the Atlanta Hawks. I've always liked him as a player so that was neat. His diamond earrings were also the size of my fists. I thought about grabbing them and running but I figured he was in better shape than me and would catch me in .2 seconds :)

Here we are in Central Park on our last day there!

One thing Forrest and I have discovered (well, more of a discovery for me than him) is that we enjoy working in the yard. Well, let me rephrase that. I enjoy having buying and planting flowers everywhere and he likes to make sure we get our moneys worth so he takes care of them. We're a good team! We've got lillies, hydrangeas (3!! A pink one, a white one, and a blue one. Well, the pink and blue are closer to purple...but I'm working on that), hibisucs, peonys, dundrops, irises, lavendar, black eyed susans, hostas (Forrests favorite), and more. Here are my pink peony's juuust about to bloom back in early May.

Well, hopefully I will be better at this in the future.

And by the way...I've converted him :) Although my Pistons let me down and didn't win an NBA Championship this year...they had a great season and there's always next year!
